Winter Park Ski area is a giant resort expanding over 3,000 skiable acres on the mountain. From glade skiing to bowls and groomers, there isn’t much Winter Park Resort can’t offer their clients. At the base, Winter Park hotels and lodging are not only grand but also beautiful, and there are many options to decide on when the ski day ends. It truly has something for everyone.

Varied terrain

Winter Park is by far the largest region, offering soft groomers for beginners and fun cruisers for intermediates. Chances of getting stuck on a flat trail are high, and the experienced will enjoy the open Cheshire Cat and Hughes runs. Freestyle terrain junkies are well provided for – there are 10 parks that range in difficultly level from beginner to expert.

Vasquez Ridge is another area perfect for beginners wanting a challenge and ready to get vertical. Intermediates will get a kick out of the blue run rollers and its momentum ability.

Mary Jane offers more of a rugged mountain scene – tree runs, ungroomed blues and peaceful trails uncrowded and plain fun. Mogul fanatics will stay along the bump trails, and powder freaks will head up to the Parsenn Bowl.

Parsenn Bowl is Winter Park’s open powder bowl, and on good days it’s difficult to head elsewhere. Skiers and riders can pick their own lines and rarely hit the same run twice.

Off Mountain Activities

Ice skating, video arcades, snowmobiling and mini golf are just some of the extras offered at Winter Park Village. Fine food and entertainment are a given, like the moonlight gondola ride to The Lodge for a five-course meal.

Cozy lodging, spas, fitness centers and other relaxing indulgences are easily found throughout the village. Boutiques and sport shops can be spotted everywhere, with cute cafes and coffeeshops tucked in between.

Lastly, Winter Park works as a community more than a luxury resort. The area offers competition programs and centers, group organizations and planning, volunteer programs, and plays host to a number of events for the National Sports Center for the Disabled. In more ways than one, Winter Park is by far a diverse mountain with a lot to offer.
